FAQ
Here you will find answers to some of the most commonly asked questions regarding homemade play dough!
Q: What ingredients are in your play dough?
A: All of our ingredients are completely safe, non-toxic and technically edible (although we do not recommend it; trust us from personal experience!). Each of our dough batches include: flour, water, oil, cream of tartar and salt. Batches will vary depending on the theme and may include natural colorings, essential oils, extracts and spices (cinnamon, ginger, etc.).
Q: What should if I do if my play dough begins to harden or crystallize?
A: First of all, do not worry if this happens! Because our dough is made with natural ingredients (see above), this is normal. Simply add a little bit of water or oil into the dough and knead it in. Your dough will be as good as new!
Q: How long does your play dough last?
A: When stored in an airtight container or Ziploc bag, you can expect your play dough to last up to three months! The more you play with it, the softer and squishier it becomes.
Q: Who is homemade play dough for?
A: While the typical audience for play dough and sensory activities is young children, our belief is that play dough (and all things that remind us to play more!) is for EVERYONE.
Q: Why should I choose play dough over other activities?
A: The benefits to play dough and sensory activities are endless! Whether you are seeking screen free experiences for your child, wanting to aid in early childhood development skills, working on your inner child who craves more play, searching for mental health tools, or simply want to create a joyful and magical moment in your day, play dough has you covered!
