Our Story

My name is Ash, and I've been passionate about sensory play for many years! I currently live with my husband Brandan in South Jordan, Utah but I also have roots in Wyoming, Idaho, Missouri and Texas. My professional background is in early childhood and I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Special Education. Out of all the titles I have had during my career, preschool teacher has been my favorite!

I started making homemade play dough and sensory bins for my preschool students in 2016 and haven't stopped since! The benefits to sensory activities are endless, and I am still discovering more all the time. While the primary target audience for sensory play is young children, I am on a mission to make it fun for people of all ages!

When I'm not making play dough and sensory kits, I love playing the piano, ukulele and singing, traveling (my husband and I have been to over 30 countries together!), reading, talking about mental health, dying my hair fun colors, doing yoga, building Harry Potter Lego sets and spending time with my loved ones.

Thank you for being here and taking part in the Daybreak Dough journey! I hope that we can all incorporate more sensory play into our lives and see the world with childlike wonder.
